TRW Control Arm Kit with Ball Joints — Rear
TRW · SKU SAP-00070 · Our ref JTC1050
A control arm locates the wheel and carries the ball joint and bushings. This kit supplies both sides with ball joints already pressed in, which removes the press work that otherwise makes this a workshop job. Worn arms show up as clunking over bumps, uneven tyre wear or an alignment that will not hold.
Supplied by TRW.
In the box: 2 control arms (left and right); Ball joints pre-installed; Bushings pre-installed.

Common questions
- Does a control arm kit include the ball joints?
- Yes. The ball joints and bushings are pressed in before it ships, which removes the press work that otherwise makes this a workshop job rather than a driveway one.
- What are the symptoms of a worn control arm?
- A clunk or knock over bumps and at low speed, vague or wandering steering, uneven tyre wear, and an alignment that will not hold its settings. Worn bushings often show as cracked or displaced rubber at the pivot.
- Do I need an alignment after replacing control arms?
- Yes. The control arm sets camber and caster, so the geometry changes as soon as it is replaced regardless of how carefully the old one is measured.
