Count the pins on the connector behind the old mirror and note which features it has. Heating, turn signal, blind-spot monitoring, power folding and puddle lamps each add wiring, so two mirrors that look identical on the same model can have completely different plugs.

Is the mirror painted or does it need painting?

It depends on the part. Some are supplied in a textured black finish intended to be used as-is on vehicles with black caps; others are primed and need painting to the vehicle's colour code before fitting.

Does the assembly include the glass?

Yes on a complete assembly — housing, glass, motor and any heating element are supplied together. Mirror glass alone is a separate part, and is the cheaper repair when only the glass is broken.
