TYC Tail Light Assembly — Right
TYC · SKU SAP-00146 · Our ref 20-6106-00
TYC supplies much of the collision-repair trade with lighting, which is why its lamps turn up in so many body shops. This is the right-hand assembly, the passenger side. Before ordering, check whether the damage stopped at the lens or reached the mounting studs and the panel behind them; a bent rear panel or broken body clip will leave even a new lamp sitting crooked. On most cars the lamp comes out from inside the trunk or cargo area after a trim panel is pulled back.
A tail light assembly carries the running, brake and turn signal functions in one housing. Many vehicles have both an outer body-mounted lamp and an inner lid-mounted one, and they are different parts — the most common reason an ordered tail light does not fit. LED and bulb versions are not interchangeable.
In the box: 1 tail light assembly; Bulb sockets fitted where the application uses bulbs; Mounting hardware.
Fit check before payment
Order it now. We confirm it fits your car before you pay.
After you place the order, tell us the car's year, make and model, or the VIN, and what the part is for. A person checks the part against that car and sends the invoice only once it is right. If it is not the right part, we cancel the order and you owe nothing.

Common questions
- Will the TYC Tail Light Assembly — Right fit my car?
- You can order it now, and we confirm it fits before you pay. For this part, fit comes down to the side, whether the lamp uses bulbs or LEDs, and the trim level and body style. After you place the order, tell us the car's year, make and model, or the VIN, and what the part is for, either in the checkout notes or in the chat on this site. A person checks the part against that car and sends the invoice only once it is right. If it is not the right part, we cancel the order and you owe nothing.
- Is the TYC Tail Light Assembly — Right new or used?
- New. It is a new aftermarket part made by TYC, not a used or rebuilt unit.
- What comes in the box with the TYC Tail Light Assembly — Right?
- 1 tail light assembly, bulb sockets fitted where the application uses bulbs and mounting hardware.
- Is the right side the passenger side?
- Yes. Left and right are always read from the driver's seat, facing forward, so on a US car the right side is the passenger side. Left and right parts are mirror images and cannot be swapped.
- What warranty does the TYC Tail Light Assembly — Right have?
- It carries TYC's manufacturer warranty. TYC's terms differ between product lines, so ask in the chat and we give you the terms for this exact part before you pay.
- Is this the outer or the inner tail light?
- Many vehicles have both: an outer lamp mounted in the body panel and an inner one mounted on the boot lid or tailgate. They are separate parts, and ordering the wrong one is the single most common mistake with tail lights.
- Can I fit an LED tail light in place of a bulb one?
- Not reliably. Many vehicles detect a failed lamp by measuring current draw, and an LED unit draws far less, so the car reports a bulb-out fault or flashes the indicator rapidly unless the system is designed for it.
- Are bulbs and sockets included?
- Bulb-type assemblies are supplied with sockets fitted; whether the bulbs themselves are included varies by part and is stated in the listing.
Checking the fit
