TYC Window Regulator with Motor — Front Left
TYC · SKU SAP-00184 · Our ref 20-6124-00
A window regulator is the mechanism that raises and lowers the glass, supplied here with the motor already fitted. Most failures are a snapped cable or a stripped plastic guide rather than the motor itself, but the two are sold together because separating them adds work for no saving. The usual symptom is a window that drops into the door or moves with a grinding noise.
Supplied by TYC.
In the box: 1 window regulator; Motor pre-installed; Mounting clips and hardware.

Common questions
- What are the symptoms of a failed window regulator?
- The glass dropping into the door, moving crookedly, or making a grinding or snapping noise while the motor still runs. Most failures are a snapped cable or a cracked plastic guide rather than the motor itself.
- Is the motor included with the regulator?
- Yes on these assemblies. The two are supplied together because separating them adds labour for no real saving, and a motor that has been driving a jammed mechanism has usually been working hard for some time.
- Does the window need reinitialising after fitting?
- Often yes on vehicles with one-touch or anti-pinch operation. The module has to relearn the fully-closed position, usually by holding the switch up for a few seconds at the top of travel, or the auto function stays disabled.
