Power Stop Rear Brake Kit — Pads and Rotors
Power Stop · SKU SAP-00006 · Our ref K4006
A rear brake kit contains both rear rotors and a full set of rear pads. Rear brakes typically last longer than front ones because the front axle does most of the stopping, so they are often replaced on the second front service rather than at the same time. Vehicles with an electric parking brake need the caliper wound back electronically, which changes the tools required.
Supplied by Power Stop.
In the box: 2 rear brake rotors; 4 rear brake pads (one axle set); Hardware and shims where the application uses them.

Common questions
- How often do rear brakes need replacing?
- Rear brakes typically last one and a half to two times as long as front ones, because the front axle does most of the stopping. Many vehicles are on their second set of front pads before the rears are due.
- Does my car have an electric parking brake?
- If the parking brake is a small switch or button rather than a lever or foot pedal, it is electric. Electric calipers must be wound back with a scan tool or put into service mode before the pads can be changed; forcing the piston damages the actuator.
- Can I fit rear brakes without a scan tool?
- Only on a vehicle with a conventional cable parking brake. With an electric parking brake the caliper must be retracted electronically, and while some models have a manual override procedure, most require a tool that can command service mode.
