Power Stop Brake Caliper Pair — Rear
Power Stop · SKU SAP-00019 · Our ref K4019
A brake caliper clamps the pads onto the rotor. It is replaced when a piston seizes, a slide pin corrodes, or the unit leaks fluid, and the symptom is usually one wheel dragging, a pull to one side, or a pad worn far faster on one corner. Calipers are side-specific and not interchangeable.
Supplied by Power Stop.
In the box: 2 remanufactured brake calipers (left and right); New seals and boots; Bleeder screws fitted.

Common questions
- What are the symptoms of a seized brake caliper?
- The usual signs are the vehicle pulling to one side under braking, one wheel noticeably hotter than the others after a drive, a burning smell, or the pad on one corner worn far faster than its opposite number. A dragging caliper also costs fuel economy.
- Are brake calipers side-specific?
- Yes. Left and right calipers are mirror images: the bleeder screw must sit at the highest point of the caliper body, and fitting the wrong side puts it at the bottom, which makes the brake impossible to bleed properly.
- Does a replacement caliper come with the bracket?
- It depends on the part. Some are supplied as a bare caliper and reuse the original bracket and slide pins; others include the bracket. The listing states which, and reusing a corroded bracket is a common cause of a repeat failure.
- What is a core charge on a remanufactured caliper?
- A refundable deposit on the old unit. Remanufacturing depends on getting the original casting back, so the deposit is charged at purchase and refunded when the old caliper is returned within the stated window.
