Aisin Hybrid Battery Coolant Pump

A hybrid or EV battery has to be held inside a narrow temperature band to charge fast and to last, so it carries its own cooling loop with its own pump, valves and heater. These parts fail far more often than anything in the drivetrain, and a pack allowed to run hot loses range permanently rather than temporarily.

HIGH VOLTAGE. This part connects to a 400V or 800V system. It must be fitted by a technician qualified to work on high-voltage vehicles, using insulated tools and rated gloves. Do not attempt it otherwise.
