NTK Wideband Oxygen Sensor

Petrol cars now carry particulate filters of their own, and the oxygen sensors in front of and behind them are wideband devices rather than the simple switching sensors older engines used. Fitting the wrong sensor type is a common and expensive mistake, because both thread into the same bung.
